Every country had one. Some were awesome, some were strange and one or two just made me scratch my head.
In the first of my random blogs (sorry I haven’t been keeping up to date with the games, personal issues meant I only watched one game really this week!) we take a look at my favourite… And not so favourite slogans!

132 appearances for Germany. 70 goals.
He might not be everyone’s favourite man but he’s a legend in his own right….

Where did all the blogs that I said we’d be doing go?
I do apologize! Unfortunately we learnt the Italy score before we saw the match and we’ve been too depressed to watch it yet… Even if it comes AFTER Italy’s last game (which again we won’t be watching… Angry face!) we will live blog their matches. I mean Italy is our team of course we will!
Lets forget all that though and focus on Germany’s second match!

So a late blog and what have we got for you?
We actually got the Rooney goal England have been waiting for! We also got the England defeat that certain cold hearted members of the GeekMind forum were hoping for.
The Champions are gone. I know shocking!
The hosts are boring. Even more shocking!
We’ve had dancing and hair tying. Fouls and tears.
Day 8 is nearly over (so tomorrow’s blog is going to be short!) and we are steam rolling ahead in the Group stages. Exciting, exciting, exciting!
(Balotelli apparently wants a kiss from the Queen…. Someone send her out there…. Even if England get knocked out!)

So after taking some time away from my computer last night thanks to a borefest with the hosts I’m back to see whether Spain can bounce back from a 5-1 thrashing from the Dutch (who I still haven’t seen play yet!)
This is a crucial game for Spain, if they lose they are out of the World Cup completely, they can do whatever they like against Australia it just won’t matter they will be long gone.
So will we lose them?

I am only just ready to see this game. I did see the very end of the Belgium game and then went to make food and now settling down for what looks to be one of the fun games of the Group stages!

Another two big clubs meeting in the first round of games, can’t help but be excited about this one. If anything I’m expecting the same kind of fun as Italy v England.
Though it does depend on whether or not I can survive ITV and their millions of adverts all of which have something to do with the World Cup and are already starting to wind me up big time!

Well yesterday wasn’t the most exciting games of the tournament but it did sort out Group E and start off Group F. We’ve now had hell of a lot of the big name teams play and we are nearly out of the first round of group games. It really hasn’t been that bad all together has it?
Day Four then :

I hope I have spelt Hercegovina correctly!
Anyway, so the match begins! I’m on my own watching it only because I am taping Bottom episode Gas (RIP Rik Mayall) and everyone else is watching it.
Anyway another big club who will want to start their tournament the same way as the Netherlands, Brazil, Italy and France have (they don’t want to start off like Spain…)
Who cares? Messi.
