We’re half way through the second month of the year and I really think that Anna, Luc and Amanda have done a good job of being active and bringing out new and interesting blogs every week.
I just wanted to quickly see how our new blogs are going down on here. We have the new Weekly Question blog, 5 Things… as well as Anna’s Playlist each and every week. We’d like to know if people are enjoying them, if there were ways you think we could improve them and of course if there is any other suggestions for blogs you’d like to see.
We do hope that as the year goes on blogs like Anna’s Diary, catch up on Anime’s we’ve half completed and more TV and wrestling reviews will be added. We hope very soon to have sorted something out make it easier looking through what we’ve reviewed so far. Of course we would like to focus on quality and what people want to see from us.
So if there are any problems, suggestion or ideas just leave them in the comments for us. We’d love to hear from you.
So we’ve been pretty lack this year with our anime coverage which is usually the best kept coverage on here even if its a bit tardy at times. We usually review at least a good couple series all year round including catch up series and other things and whilst in the build up to Attack on Titan 2 we did a good job we’ve kind of died out the second part of the year.
With the non-anime reviews busier then ever and even us two busier then usual its hard to maintain much at the moment but the anime stuff is going to be sorted out as soon as possible.
As well as Ousama Game we plan on catching up with one or two other series from this season and hopefully after catching up, so lots of reviews this week, we hope to keep up with them as best we can.
You’ve all seen the sad posts about Photobucket making us pay to host images and none of us having the kind of money lying around they were asking for so we had to take down our anime hub which I believe Anna was very proud of so a less exciting looking page or something will be coming out at some point but until then we are finishing a bunch of final thought posts that never were done, including one for One Punch Man which was the oldest one we went back and found we hadn’t done, so that we can at least have a page linked to our final thoughts and whether or not we recommend series as we sort out what we’re doing..
It does mean a lot of anime content which we’ll try and water out with other bits and pieces but at the moment its the one consistent thing we can promise.
Not only that but we’ll try and ramp up flashback series with me covering shows like Sword Art Online and Elfen Lied whilst Anna reviews such classics as Space Dandy.
One of our most viewed reviews is the ONE episode of Barakamon that Anna reviewed when first coming to this blog from her own personal one that and the second season Handa-kun will also be included in our flashback series and other recent anime’s we’ve missed finishing such as Flying Witch and Divine Gate will be finished.
Of course we’d love to hear what else you’d like to hear from us, we do have a few random bits and pieces to come up but this is the major content that will be up in the next few weeks.
BUT I am now getting up to date with WCPW and hoping to have a more regular WCPW review coming up on the blog. Its always gonna be late by some margin because of work but I really want to try and at least review WCPW along with live shows I go to.
I’m hoping to start a Lucha Underground watch through as well, seeing its seasons so could be fun like my re-watches of old anime, and maybe WWE PPVs as well for fun as I watch them all even if I don’t watch a lot of RAW or SmackDown.
WCPW though I really want to get sorted.
This also serves as a warning. Last one I did was Built to Destroy 2 so in between the Death Note and My Hero Academy catch ups you’ll be getting WCPW catch ups too.
Hopefully I’ll be able to keep it going after I’ve caught up again. For those who didn’t know our old wrestling reviewer who stopped due to bad health has now also passed away so I kinda want some wrestling to come back full time on here because he was one of the biggest driving forces to getting me to write instead of self harm and wrestling was always our go to thing when I was really down.
So people might not have noticed that a lot of the photos we use on the blogs, especially the wrestling ones, have disappeared. This is due to Photobucket now charging if you want to host your photos on a 3rd party website.
To keep costs down we always used Photobucket to keep our storage low on WordPress, there are things like the headers to blogs that have to be stored so especially after we started with the anime reviews we decided to use Photobucket for about everything else.
We aren’t going to pay, or I personally am not going to pay, just to have the photos available to host on 3rd party sites.
SO at some point when I have time I will be deleting all the Photobucket pictures so that our site doesn’t look like such a mess. I will however be uploading all the wrestling photos onto our Facebook page, and will continue to load them on there, and link to the page in all the blogs. This includes past events too.
Anyone who follows me on Twitter knows I’ve always been fed up of Photobucket either just never working, being difficult in general and unreliable so it shouldn’t surprise anyone I’d rather take the much easier yet less fun option of just uploading to Facebook and linking to it then having to deal with the stress AND PAY FOR IT.
We are sorry that there are now pages of random messages telling you that photos are unavailable and so on. I have very limited time at the moment and when I am at home I tend to have little energy to face having to destroy all the work we’ve done in the last two years. I will find a better way to do everything and make it all pretty again down the line but at the moment I’m focusing on my real life job and just trying to get the content out rather then worry about the little tricky things that make the place look and feel nicer but in the end don’t really add a whole lot more.
So most of you will notice our anime blogs have been sparce. They’ve all basically been catch ups of animes either long finished or which are still ongoing but we’re still a good deal behind on.
I am going to pick one or two of this seasons anime to binge watch and review, reviews coming out three days a week or something. So a lot of anime is going to be posted in a very short period of time.
As always we apologise but we feel we needed to do something for this season. I’ve just been extremely busy as have the others, I haven’t even really had time to THINK about the anime I’ve just been working and sleeping and trying to keep up to date with little things. We WILL be turning the anime posts off of Facebook as to not blow up people’s Facebook time lines with our reviews but will be keeping them going on the Twitter page and Tumblr.
So for anime fans it might be a yay, for others it might be a boo. Either way at least it looks like we’ve done some work!
Plus if there is anything from this season you think me or Lucius would like just leave us a comment and we’ll at least look at the first episode!
Thanks for sticking with us!
So first a update on the page.
Below I’ll explain the long and boring stuff (as it is a diary post and they are used for mental illness talk) but before that I’ll get down to it. We have EVERYTHING up to date. No really we do. Everyone has written every review they have needed too BUT its being held up, by me, in the drafts. As I have to double check spelling and tags and all that all the Yonderland, AHS, Ash vs Evil Dead and even just other misc posts have been piling up but with everyone working and me the way I am they’ve just been stuck in limbo.
THEREFORE I shall be doing my best to edit them over the weekend and get them out as best I can. I won’t have them all post to Facebook as most of the people who follow us on Facebook are there for wrestling reviews and nothing else (the Pride review will be out as I have actually written most of it, it’ll just be stupidly late as it is already.) I’ll try to spread them out over the next 7 or so days. I’ll try but be patient.
Why is it taking me so long?

You might have noticed that I’ve been single handedly attempting to do everything recently. You can’t have not noticed in every blog I’ve told you that I’m either extremely ill, extremely depressed or this week in extreme amounts of pain thanks to Wisdom Teeth.
What has suffered is obviously the anime coverage which I’m sad about because there were so many good anime this season.
NOT ANY MORE!
I am still a week behind (haven’t watched anything this week yet) but… BUT I have managed to get most of them up to date regardless of that.
SOOO this weekend there is about 8 reviews covering Berserk, Mob Psycho 100, Danganronpa (Future and Despair Arcs) and Cheer Danshi!! with hopefully some Servamp coming out on Sunday if I get enough time to write them.
It was a productive beginning of the week mired by bad fortune nearer the end so unfortunately there is still a bit of work to be done but we’re getting there.
HAPPILY Luc believes he’ll be able to come back soon and catch up next week or the week after on at least one other series from this season and be able to run it through to the end.
If anything we WILL get the anime side of the blog sorted.
I am up to date with the One Piece Manga which didn’t have a chapter this week which was lucky because I probably wouldn’t be well enough to even read it in the pained state I’m in. Plus I should have some book reviews of book 2 and 3 in the Skullduggery series as well as a special blog about Twin Peaks coming out soon. The last month and a bit have been the worst period this year for us but we hope to have it up and running again soon.
Ohhh and the Pride review might take a few days next week to write as I’m working Monday – Friday so need to write it in the evenings when I get home, but I will be writing one so don’t be disheartened if it doesn’t show up right away.
Thank you for being patient!
We are going to have some blank days ahead of us, we don’t like doing it and there were way too many in April but unfortunately we know we will probably not be around this weekend.
As you might have noticed Anna has basically been running the page the last week on her own which we’re grateful for! She’s going to Yate and Teignmouth over the weekend and whilst you’ll get to hear about that on Monday and Tuesday (keep checking out her Twitter feed and Instagram over the weekend too) it means she’ll be traveling a lot and not in any position to post.
Happy birthday to Anna today by the way! She turned 27. Our little Banana is all grown up.
Everyone else obviously has not been around full stop and that isn’t going to change.
We are starting to let ourselves down so next week we are going to re-motivate ourselves to pick it back up and start moving forward again.
Hope you all have a great weekend!
OK so I thought I’d leave a post as last night I got to speak to Amanda, Alexx and even Rick all briefly so can give a bit of a update.
EDIT : I didn’t finish a sentence. I will NOT be reviewing anything on Tumblr, see below with explanation to why.
