Monaco F1 Grand Prix 2015

Spain proved to be a extremely boring race but one that brought along a result that COULD potentially change the season.

Potentially.

Could.

Nothing could have made the last GP in Spain exciting. It marks the start of Rosbergs fight back as he wins his first GP of 2015 but the circus rolls (or rolled) into Monaco this week and he needs to keep up his momentum.

Spanish F1 Grand Prix 2015

I apologise that there wasn’t a race preview this week I was absolutely sure I’d done one and as I was away at the beginning of the week and didn’t come back till the end of the week when it was a bit late to write one! Not a mistake I plan on making again!

It feels like a lifetime since the last race though!

We left off with quite a fun race in the desert of Bahrain and another win for Lewis Hamilton.

Bahrain F1 Grand Prix 2015

Another poor race in China dampened my hopes that the season was just picking up after a poor opener in Australia but a terrific race in Malaysia.

For all the moaning about the “desert” races I wonder what kind of race we’ll get here in Bahrain?

Chinese F1 Grand Prix 2015

No one would have guessed we’d see Vettel win the race last week. After a bland opening GP in Australia we were treated for some good racing and a “shock” result.

I’ve said now at least twice that China tends to be the forgettable race for me. Will this weekend be the first time I care about a Chinese GP?

Race Day : 12th April

Malaysia was one of the most fun races I’ve seen in a while. It also gave us a “shock” of seeing a Ferrari back on the top step with the iconic combination of German and Italian national anthems playing one after the other.

It was a good weekend with little to no drama behind the racing but plenty of drama on the track. The way I believe F1 should be.

Two races in and the championship is so much closer then we’d imagine but there is also the question of just how much of a blunder did Mercedes make in their strategy and if Ferrari can really challenge the Mercedes all season long.

We now go on to China!

Malaysian F1 Grand Prix 2015

After an impressive start for Mercedes  in what turned out to be a snore inducing Australian GP the F1 circus rolls around to Malaysia.

One of the great things about Malaysia at times is that you can’t predict it. One year will be a great GP, another will be boring. One year we’ll racing under typhoon conditions the next it’ll just be hot and clear.

Race Day : 29th March

The season opener in Melbourne was nothing to write home about. In fact the off track drama overshadowed the on track lack of drama pretty badly.

That isn’t to say there was nothing to talk about at all. The Mercedes look scarily in charge still and Hamilton has gone back to another level that Rosberg is going to have to top if he wants to challenge his team mate. Williams looks fighty and the Ferrari looks better then it has in recent years, but then again Red Bull look like they’ve taken a step back (or at least the Renault engine has) so maybe the Ferrari just looks better because more people are falling down instead of catching up?

Either way the race was quite dull and we only had 11 finishers from I believe 15 starters anyway! Fernando Alonso was replaced and his replacement never made it to the grid, which might have been a blessing for Kevin as Jenson seemed to be using the race as a extra test day just rolling around at the back of a grid with a bit of a squabble with the Force India of Sergio Perez.

We look to the Grand Prix of Malaysia to turn these things around for us!
