Another explosive episode as Penguin goes to save his mother and we finally learn whether or not Theo has managed to become Mayor.
Not only is Galavan working on bringing down Bruce Wayne, becoming mayor of Gotham and framing Penguin for every evil thing he does we also have him unintentionally making other villains as well.
Episode 6 continues the sad story of Gotham’s Firefly.
After the events of the outbreak of Arkham inmates which led to Jerome’s final stand and Galavan’s heroics the GCPD decided to strike back with their own Strike Force.
Galavan continues to take over Gotham and now he’s got the worst possible person in his back pocket.
With the events of the opening trio of episodes out of the way, Jerome is gone and Theo Galavan’s plan to take over Gotham as the “hero” that everyone wants it is all change for the GCPD.
I didn’t think too much of the season opener but looking back I’m not sure I’ve ever been that keen on many of their “big” episodes finding that the first season worked more as a whole then on a individual episode level.
Seeing this is part one of a story of three episodes I will actually hold my breath and hope for the best.
I can not tell you how impressed I was with the first season of Gotham. The second season looks to be even better. I’ve been waiting for it to premier but where do we go from here?
I talked last week about how I quite like the Ogre and wouldn’t mind him being a much longer lasting villain then we’ve had so far. He’s lasting a few episodes but with each second of the episode Jim is getting closer and closer.
I have to put my hands up and say I laughed uncontrollably when I heard the title of the episode. I really thought it was going to be some stupid thing about Penguin.
Instead it was something a little different.
We are back to crime of the week with the GCPD and this week’s title has a familiar name in it.
