I’m a huge fan of the whole “your choices matter” games but more often then not you see people complaining that actually… Your choices don’t really matter.
Sometimes what they mean is basically they wanted a scene to go one way and it just couldn’t no matter what we want and other times maybe they just don’t see what changes they are enacting along the way.
So can we ever get a choices matter game that actually makes everyone happy (bar obviously the plot being perfect because no one will ever agree on stories…)
WARNING : There are minor spoilers for Life is Strange 1, 2 and BtS as well as Game of Thrones below. They were basically the three games I remember well enough to comment on but also to make my point I had to give a few plot details away.

Game of Thrones is one of the biggest franchises in the world. People love it or they hate it. Its bloody, its political, it makes you think. Spanning over many different regions with a whole host of strange, wonderful, deadly, traitorous characters at the heart of it.
Telltale games not only brought that to a game but it didn’t bother with the already stuffed cast of characters. It created its own House, its own war within a war, its own politics and pain.

OK so my original save point for the Game of Thrones game was on a XBox owned by my mum (it was her game and I had one of the four save points) unfortunately my mum isn’t the best with computers and she’s played over all the play saves because she couldn’t remember which was her own so instead of panicking and revenge saving I brought GoT in the Steam Sale on my laptop and played it fro beginning to end with a safe save file away from technophobe prying saving….
That also means I’ve probably changed a lot of what I WAS doing so here is a round down on what choices I’ve made and one last rant about it as well as comparing the XBox version to the PC version….

Through its up and downs I’m attached to this game now. I have no real hopes that anything I do will make a difference but I am at least happy to carry on and see where the story goes.
It is the first and only Game of Thrones story I’ve become attached to in any way.

The second game in the Game of Thrones series. I wasn’t particularly taken by the first episode but regardless I’ve decided to finish it.
The second episode see’s Gared make it to the wall, we get introduced to Asher and see what happens to House Forrester and Mira.
