Its me back with your weekly dose of reality based questioning of everything. This week featuring aliens.
Art is subjective so could food be art?
If I could have 5 foods delivered to me on a deserted island what would they be?
It doesn’t say whether these are meals or just five actual food stuffs. If its just food things on their own then it would probably be :
Walkers Ready Salted Crisps
I would die pretty fast but I’d be in heaven.
If they were meals then I guess I’d live a little longer. I’d still ask for the Apples and the Yogurt though maybe instead of just the Yogurt I’d ask for some fancy fruit do-hickey with Yogurt poured over it.
Plus pizza. Lots and lots of pizza.
Maybe something with bacon?
The thing is I would never think of how to survive I’d just panic and scream the first five things that I’d miss off the top of my head. Who would really sit there and think up the best five things to survive? I mean even if they gave me a chance to reconsider and pointed out that drink would not be included I’d probably still forget something as essential as water as long as you give me my bloody Mars Bars!
I’d be so easy to torture too! Forget the Mars Bars one time and then my life will be over.
I don’t do good with food!
So if you don’t follow us on Twitter (you should @Geek__Mind and @Awerka are the two you need to follow!) you won’t know that Amanda had a family emergency that she has had to go to sort out. Thus the 365 Challenge wasn’t done Sunday, I then couldn’t figure out where to find the list of challenges so that is why yesterday wasn’t done. Me and Luc are the last two reviewers standing (Alexx looks after Pete and Rick still isn’t able to get online) so we are going to do the reviews between us.
So in one blog just so all challenges get done we have three in one.
“Fu ga shi to fu ga shi to… / Guriko to Guriko to…”(ふがしとふがしと… / グリコとグリコと…)
Hotaru brings even more fun and games to Coconuts life in his fathers candy store.
The erotic play gets going….
“Butamen to kurukuru bō zerī to… / Bontaname to Sebun Neon to…” (ブタメンとくるくるぼーゼリーと… / ボンタンアメとセブンネオンと…)
I don’t know why I haven’t been able to keep up with this show its so easy to watch… I guess I’ve been trying to cut back on eating and all this anime does is make me hungry.
Bloody anime making food so tempting…
- Whisk the egg whites in a large bowl until stiff peaks form when the whisk is removed.
- Slowly whisk in the caster sugar, then continue to whisk until the egg whites are stiff and glossy.
- Whisk the cream in a separate bowl until soft peaks form when the whisk is removed.
- Fold the cream, egg yolks and your chosen flavouring (see ingredients list) into the meringue mixture until well combined.
- Pour into a plastic container and freeze for at least two hours.
I guess there isn’t much to say about what my favourite flavour is! The recipe is from the BBC site (found here – http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/no-churn_ice_cream_72012 ) and I have made it before! Its lovely.
I’m actually not a big fan of ice cream! Though it goes well when wandering around zoo’s or beaches and the like. We aren’t big on sweets in our house so ice cream is a once every few months kind of thing. I don’t like anything over the top so I’ve only ever ate Ben and Jerry’s once. As a kid I loved mint Viennetta! To be honest though it wasn’t something my parents raised us on and we only really ate it at Christmas time which seemed strange to me as I didn’t want something cold to eat when it was always so cold anyway!
I decided to do a search for strange Ice Cream flavours and found a few strange ideas. Honey Jalapeno Pickle Ice cream…. Apparently you can get it in Denver from “Sweet Action Ice Cream”. Goat Cheese Cashew Caramel sounds lovely! Makes me want to fly to Chicago right away. Of course not to be outdone by America the strangest one I found was in London at “George’s Portobello Fish Bar” and was a Creamed Cod Ice Cream.
So who has eaten any strange flavours? As you might have realised no, no I haven’t tasted any strange flavours! Rum and Raisin is good enough for my tastes!
