THE GOLDEN TRUTH vs BREEZANGO
The Golden Truth win by pin fall

You know I found the whole tanning bed thing funny but when Breeze and Fandango came down with the peeling skin and being in ultra amounts of pain just moving I couldn’t help but feel a bit pissed off. Breezango are a lot of fun and make me laugh sure but Breeze and Fandango are great in ring performers and they spent the whole match pretending to be in a lot of pain because of the tan.

Why did it need to go down like that?

The thing is Golden Truth got their win but they got their win with two guys who weren’t fighting at full force. They also went over on a up and coming team of guys that really deserve a bit better.

On the other hand Breezango made it work and you have to give them all the credit in the world for that because it’s hard. Love both teams, extreme respect for Breezango because that was a tough one to make work. Shame it had to go down like that.

THE LUCHA DRAGONS vs THE DUDLEY BOYZ
The Lucha Dragons win by pin fall

Well I wasn’t hoping for much really, if you read my predictions blog I had no idea why we had to see this match at all. It started off deadly slow with a Bubba roll to prove to Kalisto that he ain’t the only one that can wow in the ring. The Dragons weren’t as in sync as usual and also not quite as crisp as they usually are but Kalisto was hell of a slow to do anything and whenever he was in the ring he made it drag.

Again I’m not sure why they have a ad break in the middle of the actual match but they did. It was more interesting then the match.

In the end the Dragons get the win, apparently it was huge, in my opinion it was boring.

ENZO & BIG CASS vs THE VAUDEVILLAINS vs THE CLUB vs NEW DAY (c)
New Day win by pin fall

Well Corey Graves thought that Enzo might talk more then anyone else. He was wrong. Whilst I still don’t really understand a word that Enzo says but it is fair to say that New Day talked MUCH more then them. Just when I thought New Day couldn’t get funnier they did get funnier and I loved their insults to all three of the teams.

From the beginning of the match and all the talking right through to the end this match was everything I thought it would be. Absolutely loved it. New Day kept themselves in the match for as long as they possibly could, Kofi vs Enzo was amazing but just as we thought we’d get Big E vs Big Cass English tagged himself in. When you had all the guys in the ring fighting… Man did I jump out of my chair.

For me the match did something really important. It showed just how much the Vaudevillains have grown since coming to the main roster but also how much they still have to go.

I will forever sulk that Enzo and Cass were screwed. It was obvious that someone had to pull Enzo out of the ring but the ref was a bit too fast whilst he was giving the three count and… Yeah Enzo and Cass got a three count but they weren’t meant to.

It then all got a bit messy but it ended with New Day retaining it in fantastic fashion.

The botched three count needs to be used to get Enzo & Cass into the number one spot because that is a match I am now DYING to see!

BARON CORBIN vs DOLPH ZIGGLER
Baron Corbin wins by pin fall

I’m not sure why this is on after the tag team match but I was looking forward to it either way.

Couldn’t help but feel nervous, not that long ago I didn’t really have any feelings for Corbin. Then he suddenly just got so much better in a short period of time, or at least he was doing more then just squashing people in 10 seconds, and when he went up to the main roster I felt kind of like I wanted to protect him. He needed to beat Ziggler.

Of course with his height advantage and everything else he kept Ziggler down for most of the match. Loved how he was thrown out of the ring and ran around to take out Ziggler, something a little different that you wouldn’t really expect from the big man.

BUT the problem with these kind of matches is that they always end up dragging. You want Corbin to have a bit more of a fight given to him in the match but every time that Ziggler started a fight back he just got his ass handed to him time and time again. They did end up getting boring chants.

They do work well together but they seem to need to remind us that Ziggler is a underdog whereas you kind of just wanted to see Ziggler get his own back on Corbin and Corbin having to actually work his ass off to beat Ziggler instead of trying to kill a annoying little pest that keeps popping up and snapping at his heels. Missed the ending though but happy that Corbin won.

CHARLOTTE & DANA BROOKE vs NATALYA & BECKY LYNCH
Charlotte & Dana Brooke win by pin fall

I said in the prediction blog that I couldn’t care less for this match and… I still couldn’t.

The match was boring and extremely messy. People said they were surprised the match was so early in the night but it wasn’t really worth being on the PPV at all let alone later in the night. Mistakes, messy and extremely boring.

Which you know is a shame because the women’s division was starting to really get going but I feel they lent too much on the horsewomen and then didn’t really have anywhere to go. Now its back to the same old same old, Charlotte and Dana are pretty much Nikki and Brie this time last year. Nothing new. Nothing interesting. Not surprising though.

Nattie turning on Becky at the end of the match was slightly interesting but not that interesting.

SHEAMUS vs APOLLO CREWS
Apollo Crews wins by pin fall

I said that I wanted to have the Sheamus we saw duking it out with Randy Orton last year and we got him. It was a flippin’ fight. At first Apollo was able to match up to him punch to punch but the size difference gave Sheamus a slight advantage. It felt like all the stupid stuff with League of Nations and all that never happened and he was the same grumpy Sheamus that was regularly stomping the crap out of (and having the crap stomped out of him) Orton.

Crews seriously showed off his skill in this match. His moonsault to the outside was a thing of beauty and he stood up against Sheamus’s brutal attack well, though maybe a little too well. Either way it was a great brawl and with the ending the way it was with Crews taking advantage of a cocky Sheamus I kind of hope that we get to see them up against each other again. Keep aggressive Sheamus and have them kick the hell out each other, it’ll at least give Crews something to do for a while and would really test him.

Great match though, better then I thought it would be.

AJ STYLES vs JOHN CENA
AJ Styles wins by pin fall

So the big match of the night… Well other then Reigns vs Rollins.

I couldn’t take my eyes off the match it was just so good. Styles had the upper hand because he just seemed to run circles around Cena who hadn’t looked like he had done his home work on AJ Styles at all. The differing styles that AJ brings to the ring meant that he always had a answer to Cena, but boy did Cena have some good answers to AJ at times.

The reversal of the AA to the Calf Crusher followed by AJ kicking out of a AA and then countering Cena off the top rope into a power bomb… I honestly didn’t think I could be more excited but they managed to make me more and more exited as the seconds went by.

It started slow, built up great and was just absolutely crazy.

Sadly Anderson and Gallows came out at the end when AJ accidentally knocked the ref out whilst on Cena’s shoulders and took out Cena. It was a shame to end such a great match in that style but I guess this is the build up to Cena/Styles II probably at Summerslam.

Wow. What a match. NOTHING is going to beat that.

MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH
Dean Ambrose is Mr Money in the Bank

Here we go! With Rusev vs Titus O’Neil still to come and splitting this match and the main event up I can still see Ambrose winning and cashing in.

The match was just crazy. One of the best MITB matches I can remember. All the guys have such great chemistry and there were some really horrible spots on the ladders but they were so well done too.

Actually you know what. I didn’t want Sami to win but I also didn’t want Del Rio to win and yet I think Del Rio was the best guy in the match. He just cleared the ring more then once and just honestly kicked ass. Then you had a ladder in the middle with two ladders on the ropes and the standing ladder and all six guys fighting on ladders. Like man it was crazy but it just worked and was hell of a good.

The PPV might have taken its time to heat up but boy did that match nail it. Absolutely brilliant match.

RUSEV (c) vs TITUS O’NEIL
Rusev wins by submission

When Titans collide….

The match spent the opening minutes just seeing the two of them beat the shit out of each other outside the ring, the second they get back into the ring and its just a proper brawl.

It started with a lot of promise and then saw Rusev ground O’Neil which made the match extremely boring. If you aren’t going to let the two titans clash and instead have the smaller of the two ground the other then why make it so long? It ended up boring the hell out of me which was upsetting because Titus and Rusev are great.

Titus made absolutely no impact on the match and then tapped out to the Accolade.

Real let down after two phenomenal matches.

SETH ROLLINS vs ROMAN REIGNS (c)
……

Main event time!

Does Ambrose cash in?

Well the match was everything you wanted. It was so good to see Rollins back in action and he honestly completely killed it. If he wanted to check out his knee after his injury then he did so very well in this match. His cat like ability to land on his feet no matter what is wonderful to watch and the chemistry with Reigns was perfect. Reigns spent the whole match doing the Heel aggression that he does well which obviously made the match instantly much better then a lot of Roman’s matches recently.

You kind of waited and waited for something big to happen and both of them to go down and Dean’s music to hit.

Then again you didn’t want him to come down. In fact half way through the match I was determined that I would cry if Seth didn’t win because he really, honestly was so good.

Then he won!

Then he lost to Ambrose.

I so don’t know whether to be happy or sad… Both? I was in tears for Rollins and KNEW that Ambrose was going to come down JUST KNEW IT. I kind of wish that Rollins had lost now and Ambrose had got the pin on Reigns instead. Its just a bit too heartbreaking it being on Rollins after his knee injury.

Still what a way to end and a long time coming for Ambrose!

What a night though? Man that PPV had a bit of everything but was worth it for the AJ/Cena match, MITB match and THAT main event. Rollins getting a match at Battleground and a Shield match at Summerslam? Lets hope so!
