I’m not really sure what else to say right now. Other then it feels like a real pain to carry on watching this but at the same time I feel like I need to.
Unless I’m much mistaken we are now half way through the season. We are STILL looking for members. Nothing has really changed from episode one. We still have Haruta and Chika being over the top gits who in real life would never convince one single person to join them. Not only that but its now 100% obvious we won’t be getting any kind of story regarding the older members of the group.
It is absolutely ridiculous.
That being said I kind of like all the cast bar Haruta. Some of the stories are also really interesting. After one really good episode though its gone right back to being boring and bland.
This time out we learn of Naoko Serizawa. No she doesn’t join the brass club and yes it was a complete waste of time and a story that could have been told in 5 minutes. She wanted to be a clarinet player but is slowly losing her hearing so refuses to join after having to take the whole episode “solving” the mystery.
We are not one step closer to doing ANYTHING.
I just don’t like the fact its kind of stalling. I’d rather there wasn’t this big introduction of characters and we just got one or two then went into something different. None of the recent mysteries have even BEEN mysteries and a lot of the time they just throw random shit in to make Chika look stupid when actually she is far from it!
Serizawa had no reason to be rude to Chika who was just trying to make her feel better about her losing her hearing but she was. Because that is what the anime is all about. Upper class snobs looking down on someone they don’t see as being as clever as them.
This episode was a waste, in fact the last one was too and you could have had both in one.
At some point we’ll get a story worth waiting for.
Though of course we already have ANOTHER mystery to solve to get the drummer from the opening credits who was slightly mentioned into the group. With 6 episodes left you’d kind of hope that it would move on a little.
