David Bowie 8th January 1947 – 10th January 2016

It was announced today that David Bowie has died following a battle with cancer.

I doubt I know a single person who will not be touched by his passing. He was such a icon for so long. From his music which still inspires people of all ages, to his film roles to just the man himself.

For me as a kid it was an obsession with Labyrinth and a teenage crush on the Goblin King that got me into his music, I guess it will be the same for many people.

The man was the definition of a legend. He will be truly missed.

  1. I wrote on twitter that my mum used to play his music when me and my sisters were little and sing along to it with us! In fact I think I probably knew the words to Starman before I was really able to make sentences! We still have her vinyls, I might have to get her a record player so she can listen to them again! It used to be all day long.

Labyrinth is one of mine, my baby sisters and my mothers favourite movie. As a family we have so many good memories with the movie and watch it all the time still.

He really was such a big part of my life. Such sad news.
